Our Little Darlings is a thoughtfully designed store and shopping experience from a Mother and Early Childhood Teacher. The products we stock are carefully considered and thoughtfully chosen to inspire your little darlings to learn through play.
We wish to foster their Innate curiosities about the world around them. Our resources will encourage positive learning dispositions, nurture relationships and inspire you to create play spaces in your home that are calming and aesthetically pleasing, while encouraging learning, relationships and fun.
We believe the physical environment, relationships and resources are the most important factors in influencing learning in the early years.
We choose to stock and support Australian owned small business brands, who are doing great things for community and the environment. Our products are of the highest quality materials and brands, thus resulting in their longevity and being able to pass on to the next child to use.
The international brands we stock, are all complementary of these ethos and are important for offering variety of choice to our store. We are conscious of our impact on the environment and landfill and make a considered effort to reduce our footprint in shipping and in the items we stock.

ABOUT OUR NAME
Tracey is passionate about the importance of the Early Years and Early Childhood Education, finishing her degree at Newcastle Uni in 2009 and working in the industry until this passion was born in 2021.
This new passion came about after having her second baby and realising that there was space in Newcastle children’s store market for a beautifully thought out, engaging store, which allows for communities to engage and collaborate together.
Beginning online, but aspiring to open a physical space in Newcastle in the future.
Our dream store will feature an amazing shopping experience for families. Fenced children's play area, plenty of space for prams to move around and a space dedicated for breastfeeding. Overall it will be a beautiful, inviting space to engage with.
Our Little Darlings is another avenue Tracey can use her knowledge and advocate for the the importance of play based learning in early childhood.

Our Little Darlings’ name came from Tracey’s husband and how he always called their two children his 'darlings' when they were born.
Tracey and her husband Luke have two children, Sage, 6, and Clay, 3, and a dog Penny. They live in Newcastle and enjoy travelling in their vintage caravan, renovating, sport and catching up with friends and family.
