ALPACA FACTS

The animals in the Alpaca Set from Schleich® WILD LIFE come from the South American Andes, where they are bred for their soft, warm wool. They are hump-less camels with a calm and friendly temperament. The two young animals have different coats: One is white, the other brown. They are suckled by their mother for 6-8 months before starting to eat grass. Alpaca wool is very popular because it is warmer than sheep wool and suitable for people with allergies.
